Justin Rodriguez-Jones is a singer, improvisor, gardener, and facilitator currently living in Austin, TX. His music is rooted in Deep Listening, queer learning-teaching, and faith in vegetal intelligence. Recent projects include a performance of Pauline Oliveros’ “Pacific Tell” with 7 performers communicating telepathically between Houston, New York and Brazos Bend State Park and a collaboratively devised ritual-concert at The Hill of James Magee organized by David Dove and Carmina Escobar. A live audio-visual recording of Rodriguez-Jones’ recent trio with composer-improvisor Esin Gunduz and movement artist, Paty Lorena Solórzano, is forthcoming in late 2025.
Rodriguez-Jones’ performances and workshops have been presented by Nameless Sound, DiverseWorks, Rhizome DC, the Menil Collection, and Suoni per il Popolo among others. He is a former Artist-Facilitator for Nameless Sound and a former member of the Improvisation Group of Lawrence University.
